The Browntown Community Center will host a Music of the Mountains concert at 7 p.m. Friday.

Friday is the deadline to reserve a seat for the New Even Maternity Home’s fall fundraising dinner from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 26 at the Winchester Church of God Family Life Center, 2080 N. Frederick Pike, Winchester.

The Maur-Brook-Olive Ruritan Club will hold a barbecued ribs and chicken dinner starting at 4 p.m. Friday at Rutz’s BBQ and Catering, 107 N. Main St., Edinburg.

The cost is $17 per person. Proceeds benefit community projects.


Shenandoah County Extension Master Gardeners will be available to answer home horticulture questions from 9 a.m. to noon Friday at the Extension office in Woodstock. Information: 540-459-6140.


The Front Royal United Methodist Women will hold an old-fashioned church bazaar from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.


Valley Glasshoppers, a nonprofit group of individuals interested in American glass, will hold a glass show and sale from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Family Life Center of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, 1309 Opequon St., Winchester.
