Family Fun Day event slated

FRONT ROYAL  – The third annual Relay for Life Family Fun Day  begins at 11 a.m. Saturday.

Dana Lamb,  finance supervisor for Via Satellite, said her team worked hard to make this event a success.

“This is our first year hosting it,” she explained. “But it’s the third year the local Relay for Life Team has been a part of it.”

This event is part of Dish Cares Day  – an event that started in 2014 to promote volunteering and community outreach.

There will have free activities for the kids, including a moon bounce, face painting, crafts and more. Front Royal Rocks will be on site, along with local mascots from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.

For the adults, a corn hole tournament will take place. Admission for the tournament is $10, with the first place winner receiving $100. Second and third place winners will also win a prize.

Food and raffle items will be available for purchase with proceeds going to the Front Royal/Warren County Replay for Life.

This event is special to Lamb and the other members of the Via Satellite team.

“Our owner, Jeff LeHew is a cancer survivor,” Lamb said. “We want to give back to our community in any way we can.”
