Laurel Center invites supporters to first Snow Ball

WINCHESTER – Celebrate an evening of merriment at “The First Annual Snow Ball” event benefiting The Laurel Center’s new building at 402 N. Cameron St. t0day.

Isaac Modlin, with the help of Jason Reynolds, Derek Tucker and Jeff Fortune co-organized this semi-formal event to help raise awareness for the shelter’s mission.

“We wanted to have a holiday party here in town with good drinks, good music, and good friends,” Modlin said. “When we found out that the new Laurel Center was going to be opening as well we thought what better way to help support a great organization than to have this party benefit them.”

The Laurel Center empowers victims of domestic and sexual violence by providing emergency housing, advocacy, support services and education in an effort to stop the cycle of domestic and sexual violence.

Friday’s event will host a DJ providing live festive entertainment. Beer, wine, champagne, and two signature cocktails will be available for purchase. The first drink is included in the ticket price. Complimentary small snacks will also be provided.

Sponsors include Alesation Brewing Co., Italian Touch, Advanced Graphics and Rubbermaid.

“With the help of so many great volunteers, we’re hoping to have a great time and great event,” Modlin sad.
