FRONT ROYAL – Fred, a lively 2-year-old hound mix, is looking for his forever home.

Fred arrived at the Warren County Humane Society at the beginning of December when his previous owner was no longer able to care for him.

Abigail Theeuwes, a canine technician at the Warren County Humane Society, described Fred as a gentle giant who has many great characteristics.

“He’s a super attentive dog who enjoys being around people,” Theeuwes said. “He doesn’t need or want toys, just the companionship of his owner.”

Fred’s personality matches his spunk. He’s kid-friendly, enjoys other dogs, is excellent on a leash and even knows various commands’ by hand gestures. But most importantly, he loves being outside.

Fred is in good health, has been neutered and is up-to-date on all vaccines except for rabies. He can be adopted today for $30.

Theeuwes added that Fred does need to be house trained.
