The following are some of the area events that will be held this weekend:

Annual Potter Festival

The Annual Potter Festival in Strasburg will present its Hogwarts Holiday Fest at Hangouts Grill, 35 Brandy Court in Strasburg on Sunday at 7 p.m. Muggles, witches and wizards alike are invited to this Harry Potter-inspired dinner.

Admission is $36. Purchase tickets only at Hangouts Grill in Strasburg.

Barns of Rose Hill

The Barns of Rose Hill will present “Furnace Mountain with Julie Miles and Tia Maggio” at 8 p.m. today.  Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door. 12 and under, free.

Blandy Experimental Farm

Explore the sky at Blandy Experimental Farm, 400 Blandy Farm Lane in Boyce,  from 10-11:30 a.m. Saturday. Explore the night sky in a “Pop-Up Planetarium.” Learn about planetary motion and hear stories about constellations, starts and planets.

Reservations required. FOSA Members/UVA alumni $10; non members $12; Members/UVA alumni families $20, non member families $25.

Bright Box

Bright Box Theater, 15 N. Loudoun St. in Winchester, will present “Eat Yer Meat: Pink Floyd Tribute” at 8 p.m. today. Features members of the D.C./Baltimore, Maryland,  acts ELM, Moogatu, Psycho Killers, Second Self, Staycation, and B Side Shuffle.  Tickets: $10 in advance, $12 at the door. Museum

The Museum of the Shenandoah Valley, 901 Amherst St. in Winchester, is offering an adult workshop on basketry bracelets at 1 p.m. Saturday.  Learn weaving techniques with master weaver and basket designer Anne Bowers. Participants will create two braceletes.  Tickets are $30 for MSV members and $40 for others. Tickets include gallery admission and light refreshments. Winchester Bridal Expo

Winchester Bridal Expo and Amy VanMeter Events will present  the Winchester Bridal Expo at Lake Frederick, 180 Bald Eagle Drive, in Front Royal, at 1 p.m. Sunday.

Admission: $8 in advance or $10 at the door. One registration per couple. Friends, family are free.
