Belle Grove announces sumptuous feasts with kick-off party

MIDDLETOWN – Belle Grove Plantation is kicking off their “Hite of Excellence Extraordinary Series of Sumptuous Feasts” Saturday just in time for Valentine’s Day.

This popular series returns for its 21st-year and features 13 exclusive and private events held throughout the calendar year. They range from dinner parties to rock-and-roll events in Belle Grove’s back lawn.

“Saturday’s kick off party is a great opportunity for couples to plan out an entire year of dates, while benefiting a good cause,” said Kristen Laise, executive director of Belle Grove via a news release. “The silent auction also has exceptional items this year including four vacation rentals and other great Valentine’s Day gifts.”

Thanks in part to generous hosts and sponsors, proceeds go right back into supporting Belle Grove’s education, research and continued historic preservation.

The 2018 calendar of Sumptuous Feasts and events includes: “A Talent for Murder at Winchester Little Theatre” March 8. Hikers will have the opportunity to hike the plantation March 31 with the series “Archaeology Hike and Luncheon.” Art at Belle Grove invites three local artists, Wayne Laws, Kelly Walker and Sally Veach, to display and sell their work throughout the Manor House. Autumn Harvest Fest on Sept. 8 invites guests to enjoy the change in seasons while the Whiskey Tasting Dinner on Oct. 27 pairs various styles of whiskey while dining as a family at Belle Grove.

Several events have limited tickets and will sell out quickly.
