Film festival supporters showcasing movies, game night
STRASBURG – The Shenandoah Film Collaboration and Clementine Vintage invite cinema and game lovers of all ages to their “Loving the Movies Game Night” Wednesday.
Stefany Feldbusch, organizer of the event, said it’s a great opportunity to spread some love on Valentine’s Day by supporting the Strasburg Film Festival with a family-friendly event.
“We wanted to create an event that showcased great movies and games,” Feldbusch said, “while spreading the word about the film festival coming to Strasburg this fall.”
Games will include Trivia, icebreakers, charades and movie candy.
“Things I wish I said” created by a local Strasburg film company, Scribbled Squirrel, will be featured along with “Woodman” from film production company Crazy 8’s based in Vancouver, Canada.
Appetizers and dessert will be available while Mountain View Vineyard will provide wine tasting.
Feldbusch said the event is geared toward individuals who simply love cinema. “We picked two feature films that we thought would spark conversation and inspire,” she said.
The Strasburg Film festival, new to the community this fall will showcase local emerging filmmakers. “We’re planning on offering a wide selection of films for the community to enjoy,” she said.
Admission to Wednesday’s event is free, with the exception of “Free Will” donations. “We want people to give what they’re comfortable with giving,” Feldbusch said. “The funds will ultimately help support the festival this fall and other events throughout the year.”
