FRONT ROYAL – Firecracker, an energetic 2-year-old pit bull mix, is looking for his forever home.

Firecracker came to the Warren County Animal Shelter when the population of his previous shelter became overly populated.

Katie Kurzenknabe, a kennel caretaker, said Firecracker came back two months ago after being picked up as a stray. “His adoptive parent’s never came back to claim him for some reason.”

His name fits – he is full of energy.

“He’s that good kind of hyper,” Kurzenknabe said. “He loves toys more than anything, except maybe being outside where he loves to run for hours.”

Firecracker is not good with children under the age of 12 or other pets, Kurzenknabe said, but he loves all the attention he can possible get. “He’s a show off.”

Kurzenknabe said Firecracker is up-to-date on all his shots and is neutered. He can be adopted today for a $30 adopted fee.
