STRASBURG – The concert headliner for this year’s Shenandoah County Fair is 10th Avenue North from West Palm Beach, Florida.

The group, known for its intellectual melodic pop/rock style, was named the Gospel Music Association New Artist of the Year in 2009 and the band has sold over a million albums.

Tom Eshelman, general manager, said the 2018 concertn lineup came together quite nicely this year and they’re looking forward to the community’s excitement.

“This is our first year partnering with the Shenandoah Coalition of Churches,” Eshelman said. “Christian-based music is spreading amongst local and state fairs across the country because it’s becoming more and more difficult to get county stars as headliners.”

A triple music lineup is set to start at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 31. An all-community choir will open the Christian night of entertainment, followed by a special guest, who will be announced in late June, and the 10th Avenue North band.

“We took this opportunity to introduce a new genre to our fans,” Eshelman said. “And, so far, they’re just as excited as we are.”

The Shenandoah County Fair celebrates 101 years this August with live music, food, tractor pulls and other activities.

Reserved seats will feature track seating for $30. Grandstand seating is available for $25.

A limited amount of VIP meet and greet opportunities will be available for an additional cost of $35.
