Valley Business Women hosts wellness panel Thursday
STRASBURG – Valley Business Women in partnership with the Top of Virginia Regional Chamber will host a Wellness Panel at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Holiday Inn Historic Gateway. The event is open to the public.
Jody Wall, Top of Virginia Regional Chamber director, said their goal is to educate women on matters of importance.
“For our first panel of 2018 we decided to focus on a presentation that will educate, inspire and motive women to continue their New Year’s wellness goals,” Wall said. “Many of us make goals but don’t follow through as the year progresses. We want to inspire everyone to stay focused.”
Thursday’s panel will feature three local women who care about wellness, Wall said, but each will offer something a little different. They are Michelle Dowell, of Pilates Connection; Kathryn Weill Rogers, of Nourish, and Jacqueline Shoemaker Winchester Wellness & Weight Loss Clinic.
“We’re nearing the end of the first quarter of the new year,” Wall said. “So this is a great time to review what goals you set out for yourself.”
Questions panelists will be asking audience members include: have we met those weight loss goals? As we eating healthier? Have we started a fitness regimen as we promised ourselves we would?
“Life happens. And we all know that,” Wall said. “But these three dynamic local women will share with us how to stay inspired and achieve those healthy lifestyle goals we promised ourselves on January first.”
Other Valley Business Women luncheons will touch on broadcast meteorology with Lauryn Ricketts in June, Cindy Battina, a life coach and happiness maker in September, and Jerri Bell and Tracy Crow, co-authors of “It’s My Country, Too: Women’s Military Stories from the American Revolution to Afghanistan” in November.
