Vows in the Valley Showcase helps brides plan their big day

STRASBURG – ‘Vows in the Valley’ presents it’s first Spring Bridal Showcase at 11 a.m. Sunday.

Event organizer Brian Jones said he and a group of like-minded wedding professionals came together to showcase what the valley, specifically Front Royal and Warren County, has to offer its brides.

“We got the idea from an event hosted in Page County called ‘Love in Luray’,” Jones said. “In December we sat down and came up with this showcase that creates a mock wedding day for prospective brides.”

In partnership with the Front Royal-Warren County Chamber of Commerce, Vows in the Valley will showcase local wedding venues and vendors, and offer professional tips.

Over 16 vendors will participate in Sunday’s event.

“We wanted to create a more intimate atmosphere for our brides,” he said. “The valley offers so many opportunities that we decided to pull all our ideas and resources together to be more beneficial.”

The highlight of the day will feature a mock wedding, where prospective brides will witness what their day will be like, from hair and make-up, to cake cutting and dancing.

The group’s mission is to bring together wedding vendors together in a non-competitive style. Jones said they want to promote Front Royal and Warren County as a destination for “all things wedding.”

Admission is free. The first 100 brides will receive a gift bag filled with goodies from local vendors.

“We just want to help brides plan their perfect day,” Jones said. “And bring them to our beautiful town and county.”
