FRONT ROYAL –  Spock, a 2-year-old lab mix who loves affection and swimming, is seeking a new home

Shyann Beatty, of the canine care team at the Warren County Humane Society, said Spock came in as a stray over two weeks ago. His owner has yet to come in and reclaim him.

“Spock is a big sweet cuddle bug,” Beatty said. “He craves attention, loves to play tug of war and always wants to be around people.”

She noted that he is well versed in commands and knows “sit, paw and lay down.” He is leash trained, up-to-date on all his shots but still needs to be neutered. He enjoys being around other dogs, cats and children.

“His forever home will be with someone who loves nature,” Beatty said. “I can just picture him spending time on a lake in a canoe or swimming in a pool. Anything that involves nature and people.”
