WINCHESTER — Boxer T-Bone is available for adoption.

Kamryn Dixon, an animal caretaker for Esther Boyd Animal Shelter in Winchester, said that T-Bone came into the shelter on July 3 as a stray. Dixon didn’t know the dog’s exact age, but the shelter guessed that he was between 8 and 10 years old.

Dixon noted that the only real health issue that T-Bone has is that he may be deaf.

“We don’t know if he is really deaf, but he does have a bit of a hard time hearing,” she said.

T-Bone is friendly around people, but Dixon said that she recommends only families with older kids apply. Dixon also said that T-Bone is good around other dogs.

“If you do get [T-Bone], make sure you make yourself known when you enter a room, give him treats, etc. because of his hearing problems,” she said.

Outside of his hearing problems, Dixon noted that T-Bone has also been neutered and is up to date on his shots. The adoption fee for T-Bone is $30.

“He’s just a big lovable dog,” Dixon said.
