Parade winners

The following were winners in the Woodstock Christmas parade Dec. 5:
Central High School, band; Massanutten Military Academy, marching unit; Woodstock Fire Department, fire apparatus; MMS Clowns, novelty; Royal Starlette Twirlers, dance group; Farm Bureau, decorated car; V&V Racing, decorated truck; Lowe's, commercial float; Woodstock Library, float; and Greenfield, senior citizens.

RSVP news

The Shenandoah Area Agency on Aging's Retired and Senior Volunteer Program honored Jane Milligan of Shenandoah County for volunteering 1,322.5 hours.
Also honored at the recognition event Nov. 21 at the Northern Virginia Regional 4-H Educational Center for volunteering more than 200 hours were:

School news

Lizzie Barb, Johnathan Foltz, Adam Marston and Nathan Richard, members of the Peter Muhlenberg Middle School FFA soils team placed first in a district contest Nov. 12.
In the state competition on Nov. 20 in Richmond they placed second in the junior division and sixth in the senior division.
