Card shower

A card shower is planned for Cardinia King, who will celebrate her 90th birthday on Jan. 24.

A birthday luncheon will be held on Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Strasburg Ramada.

Katie Baker and Samantha Funkhouser, both of Strasburg, have been named to the dean's list at Bridgewater College for the fall semester.

Baker is a freshman liberal studies major and Funkhouser a freshman sociology major.

Toms Brook

College news

Emily Kibler of Toms Brook, a senior family and consumer sciences major at Bridgewater College, has been named to the dean's list for the fall semester.

Maurertown

College news

Zach Cline of Maurertown, a junior majoring in allied health science at Bridgewater College, has been named to the dean's list for the fall semester.

Woodstock

Chris and Kristie Anderson have announced the birth of a daughter, Claire Ann, on Dec. 26 at Winchester Medical Center.

Grandparents are Colon and Debbie Mumaw of Woodstock.

Dirting is a senior psychology major, Marston a junior liberal studies major and Polk a senior family and consumer sciences major.
