Linden

College news

David Paul Ecklund of Linden has been named to the dean's list for fall semester at Shepherd University.

Front Royal

College news

Courtney Vaught of Front Royal, a freshman majoring in health and exercise science and nutrition and wellness at Bridgewater College, has been named to the dean's list for the fall semester.

Ryan Manuel and Mary Kate Shannon, both of Front Royal, have been named to the dean's list for fall semester at Shepherd University.

Mary Kate Shannon of Front Royal was awarded the Phi Theta Kappa scholarship from the Shepherd University Foundation.

Trey Kirkland, a sophomore at the University of North Carolina, was awarded the chancellor's commendation for outstanding scholarship.

The son of Rick and Bonnie Kirkland of Front Royal, he is a 2007 graduate of Warren County High School.

Luray

Mr. and Mrs. James D. Pack are living in Luray following their marriage on Oct. 4.

Mrs. Pack, the former Cynthia Wymer, is the daughter of Betty Jane Wood of Rileyville and the late Charlie Wood.

Mr. Pack, the son of James and Catherine Peach of Hampton, is employed by Page County.
