College news

James L. Johnson Jr., a senior at Hampden-Sydney College, was named to the dean's list for the fall semester.

A graduate of Strasburg High School, he is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James L. Johnson of Toms Brook.

Ashley Myers, a freshman at George Mason University, has been named to the dean's list for the fall semester.

A 2008 graduate of Central High School, she is the daughter of David Myers and Robin Myers, both of Edinburg.

Strasburg
School news

The Strasburg High School Academic Boosters is selling wooden "sill sitters" that are replicas of the school.

The cost is $20. They are on sale at Strasburg schools and at the Coffee Cafe, The Northern Virginia Daily and People's Drug Store in Strasburg.
