The Rev. Dr. Marshal Ausberry, senior pastor of the Antioch Baptist Church in Fairfax, gave the opening prayer at the U.S. Senate.

The son of Mary Ausberry of Strasburg and the late Edgar Ausberry Sr., he is a graduate of Strasburg High School and James Madison University. He received a doctorate from the Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Massachusetts.

He lives in Springfield with his wife and three children.


FFA news

Pat Robinson of Woodstock won the picnic table auctioned by the Peter Muhlenberg Middle School FFA.

Proceeds were donated to the National FFA in memory of Randy Ward.
