Card shower

A card shower is planned for Nancy Funkhouser, who will celebrate her 77th birthday on March 7.

School news

The Signal Knob Middle School FFA parliamentary procedure team placed first in the state competition Feb. 28 in Christiansburg.

Team members were Anna Sparacio, Savannah Hall, Rachel Taylor, Mark Colson, Nancy Wharton and Karl Rauschelbach.

Hall, Taylor and Colson were selected to the all-state team.

Toms Brook

Regis and Amy Arnold of Toms Brook have announced the birth of a daughter, Kenley Rachel, on Feb. 28 at Winchester Medical Center.

Grandparents are Tommy and Linda Lambert of Maurertown, Yvonne Arnold of Strasburg and the late Harmon Regis Arnold.

Art Group

The Art Group Gallery is seeking donations of painting masks, old jeans, jewelry, paper towels, linens, five-pound test fishing line, nails, bolts, matte board, wooden chairs, wood scrapes, scrap yarn and fabric, glitter, glue, glue guns and sticks beads, acrylic and latex paint and craft supplies.
