Melissa Mullinax of Stephens City, a junior at the University of Mary Washington, has been named to the dean's list for the fall semester.

Middletown

Jon and Mindy Linger of Middletown have announced the birth of a daughter, Saphira Olivia, on Jan. 27 at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital.

Grandparents are Calvin and Sharon Hastings of Middletown and Larry and Phyllis Vice of Crossville, Tenn.
