Erin Pampe of Winchester has a role in Bridgewater College's production of the musical "The Baker's Wife."
The show will be presented Thursday through Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m. Tickets are $6 or $5 for students and seniors. The box office phone number is 828-5631.
Military news
Air Force Airman Miranda D. Haggerty graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base at San Antonio, Texas.
The daughter of Tammy Pratt of Burlington, W.Va., and niece of Scott George of Winchester, she is a 2006 graduate of Keyser (W.Va.) High School.
Army National Guard Pvt. Ashley M. Murphy has graduated from basic training at Fort Jackson at Columbia, S.C.
He is a 2008 graduate of James Wood High School
Library news
"This I Believe: The Personal Philosophies of Remarkable Men and Women," a book with essays by local residents, is available at Handley Library, Winchester Book Gallery and Shenandoah University. The cost is $5.
