Schools, offices close for festival

The following is a list of closings in Winchester and Frederick and Clarke counties for the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival:

* Public schools: Closed Friday.

* County offices: Frederick, closed Friday; Clarke, open Friday.

* Winchester city offices: Closed Friday; switchboard open.

* Town offices: Stephens City, closed Friday; Middletown, closing Friday at noon.

* Frederick-Winchester Judicial Center: Closed Friday.

* Libraries: Handley, Bowman and Clarke: Closed Friday and Saturday.

* Sanitation: Frederick County Regional Landfill, closing Friday at noon; Winchester recycling and trash collection on regular schedule.

* Winchester Transit System: Closed Friday and Saturday.
