Charlene E. Day

Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Day Jr. of New Market have announced the engagement of their daughter, Charlene Elizabeth, to Mark Andrew Viola, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Viola of Broadway.

Miss Day, a graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School, earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from Eastern Mennonite University. She is a registered nurse at Rockingham Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Viola, a graduate of Moorefield (W.Va.) High School, earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Virginia Military Institute. He is employed by Viola Engineering in Harrisonburg.

A June 13 wedding is planned.
