STEPHENS CITY -- The Newtown Heritage Festival returns to Stephens City this weekend for its 17th year.
The festival -- which celebrates the history of Stephens City -- will bring food, games, crafts, music, museum tours and a feature parade to the town on Saturday and Sunday.
Events begin at 7 a.m. Saturday with a pancake breakfast at Trinity Lutheran Church, 810 Fairfax St., until the crafts show at the Newtown Commons area begins at 10 a.m.
Live music starts at noon, until the parade at 2 p.m.
Saturday's festivities are capped by a fireworks show at 9 p.m.
The festival reopens Sunday at noon.
