School news
The following 10th-graders at Skyline High School have been named to the all-A honor roll for the third grading period:

Jocelyn Amos, Hailey Berger, Luke Bieryla, Travis Blevins, Ryan Brann, Anna Chromek, Judith Grigsby, Derek Helsley, Amanda Henry, Zachary Henry, Forrest Jankauskas, Eric Lamprecht, Amanda Lavey, Kasey Mathias, Shannon Mendoza, Deborah Rogers, Kesley Romer, Kristina Salazar, Evan Sears, Heather Woodward and Caleb Wren.
Ashley Birk, Allyson Doran and Xing Zhang, area 10th-graders at Randolph-Macon Academy, have been named to the all-A honor roll for the third grading period.

The following eighth-graders at Skyline High School have been named to the all-A honor roll for the third grading period:

Alexandria Bowdey, Sarah Burroughs, Emily Crawford, Katlyn Dawson, Kylie Duncan, Steven Fletcher, Allison Funk, Thomas Harrison, Catherine Hughes, Jessica Knight, Victoria Lurie, Brian Mathias, Jacob McConahy, Alayna McEathron, Laura Moran, Samantha Morrison, Kelsey Okland, Jessica Quinney, Emily Ritter, Alba Rivera, Carter Robinson, Presley Rutherford, Ashleigh Salyers, Holly Sampson, Brock Sharpe, Hunter Stewart, Brittany Yates and Alexia Zarzuela.

The following area eighth-graders at Randolph-Macon Academy have been named to the all-A honor roll for the third grading period:

Brooke Adams, Allyson McManus, Ashley McManus and Marcus Williams.
Natalie Harpold and Charlotte Thompson, area seventh-graders at Randolph-Macon Academy, have been named to the all-A honor roll for the third grading period.
The following area sixth-graders at Randolph-Macon Academy have been named to the all-A honor roll for the third grading period:

Jacob Dodson, Matthew Duggan, Willa Clare Franklin, Amy Gray, Glenn Schoonover and Tyler Vaughan.

Jonathan Barton of Front Royal received a $1,000 Chick-Fil-A Leadership Scholarship on April 21.

College news
John Bergida of Front Royal was awarded the $18,000 William G. McGowan Charitable Fund scholarship at Benedictine College.

Military news
Air Force Airman Joseph B. Watson graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base at San Antonio, Texas.

The son of Susan Yates of Front Royal, he is a 2008 graduate of Warren County High School.
