A card shower is planned for Mary Grove Sealock, formerly of Front Royal, who will celebrate her 86th birthday on May 12.

School news

The following area students at Randolph-Macon Academy have been inducted into the National Junior Honor Society:

Jade Barr, Catey Borden, John Christoph, Natalie Harpold, David Herman, Charlotte Thompson, Marcus Williams and Xing Zhang.

Inducted into the German National Honor Society were Devon Barr, Clifton Borden, Michael Brooks and Thomas Wine.

Christoph was also inducted into the French National Honor Society.

Inducted into the Spanish National Honor Society were Christopher Munden, Jacob Skeith, Logan Usmani and Silken Usmani.

Inducted into the Latin National Honor Society were John Holsinger, Jackson McGraw and Jessica Vaughan.

Natalie Harpold was also inducted into the Latin Junior Classical League.
