Edinburg

Stuart and Ann Shirkey of Edinburg have announced the birth of a daughter, Lillian Elizabeth, on May 4 at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital.

Grandparents are Henry and Judy Shirkey and John and Mary Lou Thompson, all of Edinburg.

Card shower

A card shower is planned for Sam Lindamood, who will celebrate his 73rd birthday on May 23.

His address is P.O. Box 13, Edinburg 22824.

Military news

Christina Kathleen Ward of Edinburg will graduate from basic training and AIT training on May 21 from Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. She will join the military police stationed in Germany.

She is the daughter of Cecil N. Sturgell of Edinburg.

Jimmy and Christy Barb of Woodstock have announced the birth of a daughter, Alivia Lyn, on April 8 at Winchester Medical Center.

Joey and Becky Reynolds of Woodstock have announced the birth of a son, Travis Daniel, on May 4 at Winchester Medical Center.

Sarah Wine, a freshman at Lord Fairfax Community College, has been named to the dean's list for the spring semester.

The Peter Muhlenberg Middle School seventh- and eighth-grade chorus, band and orchestra participated at the "Music in the Parks" Festival May 2 at Hershey, Pa.

The chorus and orchestra placed first and received a good rating. The band placed second and received an excellent rating.
