School news
June 12 is the deadline for nominations for the Stewart Bell Jr. Excellence in Teaching award, which will be given to a teacher at Virginia Avenue Charlotte DeHart Elementary School.
Nomination forms and further information are available at the Winchester School Board office or at www.wps.k12.va.us.
March of Dimes
The local March for Babies has raised more than $54,800 for the March of Dimes.
Remembering Logan, the No. 1. team, raised more than $7,000.

Megan Boone and Tymisha Robinson, both of Winchester, students in Old Dominion University's Teletechnet program at Lord Fairfax Community College, have been named to the dean's list for the spring semester.
Matthew Miller and Ashley Neumann, both of Winchester, graduated from Furman University on May 9.
Community Residences
Shenandoah Valley Community Residences presented its Eleanor S. White Award to Deborah and Kenneth Massie of Winchester for their involvement with the Area 13 Special Olympics.

Middletown
Kelsee Capps of Middletown has announced the birth of a son, Jodee Jeremiah William Capps, on May 13 at Warren Memorial Hospital.
Grandparents are Jason and Maryanna Capps of Middletown.
