A card shower is planned for Earl Richman, who will celebrate his 90th birthday on June 1.

Garden club news
Members of the New Market Garden Club toured Fort Valley Nursery during their meeting on May 18. Lunch was served at the cafe.
Plans were discussed for the new year.
The June meeting will be held at the home of Janice White.

Strasburg
Danielle Bockey and Timothy McDonald of Strasburg have announced the birth of a son, Hayden Edward McDonald, on May 1 at Winchester Medical Center.
Grandparents are Brad and Donna Bockey and Jackie Speiden, all of Wardensville, W.Va., and Greg McDonald of Woodstock.

Jessica Goldsmith graduated with honors with bachelor's degrees in business administration and music from Susquehanna University on May 10.
She plans to attend Shenandoah University to pursue a master's degree in arts administration.
A graduate of Strasburg High School, she is the daughter of Sandra Goldsmith and Roy Goldsmith of Strasburg.
