MR. AND MRS. MASON

Miller-Mason

Staige Leigh Miller and Daniel Timothy Mason were married April 17 at Playitas Beach, Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Staige Miller Jr. of Front Royal. The groom is the son of Dianne Mason of Staunton and the late David Mason.

Einar Villavicencio performed the double-ring ceremony.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white formal-length, sleeveless chiffon gown with an empire-beaded waist, a trumpet skirt and a chapel-length train. She wore a fingertip-length veil and carried a bouquet of green and pink orchids.

The matron of honor was Kristen Personius of Fayetteville, W.Va., sister of the bride. She wore a green and pink sun dress and carried a bouquet of white lilies.

Elizabeth Mason of Arlington, sister of the groom, was the best woman.

A reception followed at the Hotel La Mariposa.

Prenuptial entertainment included a couples shower given by Sue and Jim Cobb and Anne and Michael Powell and a bridal shower given by Amanda Prestage.

The bride received a bachelor's degree from Virginia Tech and a master's degree in public administration from Virginia Commonwealth University.

The groom received a bachelor's degree from Virginia Commonwealth.

After a wedding trip to Costa Rica, the couple will live in Richmond.

Mr. and Mrs. Swanger

Smith-Swanger

Rebecca Leigh Smith and Gregory Michael Swanger were married April 25 at the St. James Lutheran Church in Star Tannery.

The bride is the daughter of Steve and Cheryl Smith of Maurertown. The groom is the son of Greg and Candy Swanger of Strasburg.

The Rev. John Miller performed the double-ring ceremony.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a formal strapless, ivory silk gown.

The matron of honor was Wendy Fletcher of Winchester.

The best man was Robbie Walton of Front Royal. Groomsmen were J.R. Swanger of Strasburg and Ryan Swanger of Front Royal.

A reception followed at Wayside Inn.

Prenuptial entertainment included the rehearsal dinner given by the groom's parents at the Irish Isle in Middletown.

The bride is a graduate of Strasburg High School and Lord Fairfax Community College.

The groom is a graduate of Strasburg High School.

Following a honeymoon to St. Maarten, the couple are living in Stephens City.
