Woodstock

Cheryl and Fulton B. Kegley II of Bland have announced the birth of a daughter, Madelyn Jane, on May 3 at New River Valley Medical Center in Radford.

Grandparents are Betty Myers Kegley of Bland, formerly of Woodstock, and the late Derwood and Kathleen Myers.

The Shenandoah County Parks and Recreation Department is seeking volunteers to train as technicians for its CarFit event on June 27.

Shenandoah County Public Schools has received a Lowe's Toolbox in Education grant for $5,000 to replace the bridge and benches on the nature trail at Central High School.
