The Front Royal Salvation Army is accepting applications from homeless and hungry residents as part of a $14,444 grant Warren County has received from the Emergency Food and Shelter National Board Program, a public-private partnership.

Anne Reed of Luray earned the Gold Award, the highest award in Girl Scouts.

For her project she planned and held a race to raise awareness of domestic violence for Choices, the council on domestic violence in Page County.
