Annual catfish fry to benefit hotline

WINCHESTER -- Concern Hotline Inc. plans to hold its 10th annual Fish Fry next week.

The nonprofit group's fundraiser will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. Sept. 4 on the Our Health Community Campus, 301 N. Cameron St., according to a press release from the organization.

Tickets may be bought in advance for $12 at the Concern Hotline business office, Impressions Plus, Grove's Winchester Harley Davidson, John B. Hayes Tobacconist, Total Image Workingman's Store and Harvest Moon, or for $15 at the gate.

Organizers will fry 900 pounds of fresh catfish. Pizza also will be available for those who don't eat fish. Soft drinks, bottled water and adult beverages will be for sale.

Drive-through service will be available.

Live entertainment will be provided by The Merge. KidZone Entertainment and the Shenandoah Valley Discovery Museum will provide children's activities.

All proceeds benefit Concern Hotline. Since 1968, Concern has provided crisis intervention, suicide prevention, information and referral hotline service 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to anyone in need in Winchester, Frederick, Clarke, Warren, Shenandoah and Page counties, according to the news release.
