Darr-Hahn
Mark and Denise Barnett of Winchester have announced the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Darr, to Andrew Hahn, son of David and Debbie Hahn of Winchester.
Miss Darr, a 2004 graduate of Handley High School and a 2007 graduate of Bridgewater College, is a first-grade teacher at John Kerr Elementary School.
Mr. Hahn, a 2004 graduate of Handley High School, is employed by Winchester Medical Center. He is also a member of the U.S. Navy Reserve.
A Dec. 19 wedding is planned.
Johnson-Minnick
Wallace and Laura Johnson of Lynchburg have announced the engagement of their daughter, Vanesa, to Jordan Minnick, son of Dean and Terry Minnick of Edinburg.
Miss Johnson is a student at Virginia Commonwealth University.
Mr. Minnick is a graduate of James Madison University.
A Dec. 19 wedding is planned.
Mattingly-Whittington
Darlene Hamilton of White Post and James Mattingly Jr. of Chaptico, Md., have announced the engagement of their daughter, Katrina Mattingly, to Barry Whittington Jr., son of Susan Snider and Joseph Buckler Jr. of Leonardtown, Md.
Mr. Whittington is employed by RPB Flooring.
A June 26 wedding is planned.
Torrance-Tucker
Mr. and Mrs. Steven Torrance Sr. of Amissville have announced the engagement of their daughter, Melanie Ann, to William Harris Tucker, son of Alan Tucker of Chester Gap and Robin Mellott of Monrovia, Md.
Miss Torrance, a 2004 graduate of Rappahannock County High School and a 2008 graduate of the University of Maryland, is head cheerleading coach and a substitute teacher at Rappahannock County High School.
Mr. Tucker is a 21st Infantry Division specialist, stationed at Schofield Barracks at Oahu, Hawaii.
A November wedding is planned.
