Woodstock Fair winners Allison George was named grand champion and senior champion showman at the 4-H/FFA beef showmanship and steer show at the Shenandoah County Fair. Willie Elgin was the reserve grand champion and reserve champion senior showman. Other winners in the showmanship competition were: Rebecca Allar, novice; Bethany Gochenor, novice reserve; Garrett Coffey, junior; and Jenna Kibler, junior reserve. Grand champions were: Allison George, market steer; Paul Dellinger, reserve market steer and breeding heifer; Mary Green, cow and calf pair, reserve bred and owned bull; Garrett Coffey, reserve cow and calf pair; Aaron Heishman, bred and owned bull; and Zachary Roy, reserve bred and owned heifer. Championship winners in the 4-H/FFA steer show were: Tayler Cooper, lightweight market steer; William Beckenstrater, reserve lightweight market steer; Paul Dellinger, mediumweight market steer and reserve heavyweight market steer.; William Beckenstrater, reserve mediumweight market steer; and Allison George, heavyweight market steer. Championship winners in the 4-H/FFA heifer show were: Mary Green, Angus breeding heifer and reserve Angus breeding heifer; Tyler Wakeman, Charolais breeding heifer and reserve Charolais breeding heifer; Garrett Coffey, Hereford breeding heifer and reserve Hereford breeding heifer; Aaron Heishman, Simmental breeding heifer and reserve Simmental breeding heifer. Willie Elgin was both the grand champion and senior champion showman in the 4-H/FFA swine show Sept. 2 at the Shenandoah County Fair. Brin Walsh was named senior reserve and reserve grand champion showman. Other showmanship winners were: Rebecca Allar, novice; Samuel Cross, reserve novice; Matthew Marston, junior; and Rachel Harriman, reserve junior. Aaron Heishman had the grand champion and reserve champion market hog. Also winning champion awards were: Samuel Cross, lightweight market hog; Michael Marston, reserve lightweight market hog; Aaron Heishman, mediumweight market hog and heavyweight market hog; Chris Dellinger, reserve mediumweight market hog; Tayler Cooper, heavyweight market hog. Bobby Kline, lightweight pen of two market hogs; Brian Walsh, breeding gilt; and Willie Elgin, reserve breeding gilt. Michael Marston was both the grand champion and senior champion in the 4-H/FFA goat showmanship competition at the Shenandoah County Fair on Sept. 2. Matthew Marston was both reserve grand champion and junior showman. Other championship winners in the showmanship competition were: Courtney Miller, novice; Noah St. Clair, reserve novice; Nicole Baker, reserve junior; Nathan Gochenour, reserve senior. Nathan Gochenour had the grand champion market goat and Ethan Gochenour the reserve grand champion. Other goat show champions were: Nathan Gochenour, lightweight market goat; Lindsey Rickard, doe goat and reserve lightweight market goat; Brittany Wright, mediumweight market goat; Kelsey Powers-Barb, reserve mediumweight market goat; Ethan Gochenour, heavyweight market goat and reserve doe goat; and Kristin Derflinger, reserve heavyweight market goat.
