Woodstock
Bethany and Kirk Andrews of Woodstock have announced the birth of a son, Paxton Davis, on Sept. 27 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital.
Grandparents are Bill and Ellen Davis of Strasburg and Clarke and Sherrie Andrews of Daleville.
Garden club news
Peggy Thompson of the Front Royal Garden Club discussed Thanksgiving flower arrangements at the Oct. 1 meeting of the Shenandoah Garden Club.
Club members attended the rededication of the Courtyard Garden at Skyline Terrace Nursing Home. Receiving certificates of appreciation and a rose for their help with the restoration were members Jackie Emmart, Lida Caesar, Grace Healy, Micki King, Thelma Fleming, Liz Sollenberger, Judy Powell and Joan Cox.

Nearly 300 Tripplett High School alumni attended a reunion on Sept. 26 at the Yellow Barn at Shenandoah Caverns.
New Market
Garden club news
The New Market Garden Club took a fall foliage tour through Fort Valley and had lunch at Hotel Strasburg on Oct. 19.
The club will hold a joint Christmas party with the Family and Community Education Club and will sponsor the New Market Christmas decorating contest.
Toys for Tots
Casual Friday Boutique in New Market is collecting new unwrapped toys through Dec. 15 for the Marine Corps' Toys for Tots.
School news
Ben Garman and Kyle Smoot, eighth-graders at Peter Muhlenberg Middle School, participated in the Central Virginia Men's Chorus Invitational at Monacan High School in Richmond Oct. 9-10.
