Weddings


Bost-Anderson

Tabitha Ann Bost and Charles E. Anderson Jr. were married Aug. 22 at the Strasburg Church of Christ.

The bride is the daughter of L. John and Robin Bost of Strasburg. The groom is the son of Judy M. and Charles E. Anderson Sr. of Strasburg.

The father of the bride performed the double-ring ceremony.

Given in marriage by her family, the bride wore a white strapless gown with beaded pickups and an empire-length train. She wore her mother's veil and carried a bouquet of daisies.

The matron of honor was April Stone of Strasburg. She wore a marine blue floor-length gown and carried a bouquet of daisies.

The maid of honor was Abbie Brooks of Strasburg. Her attire was identical to the honor attendant's.

Bridesmaids were Kristen Anderson of New Market, daughter of the groom, and Shirley Shields of Woodbridge. They wore, respectively, a canary yellow floor-length gown and a marine blue tea-length dress. Each carried a bouquet of daisies.

The best man was Kevin Plaugher of Strasburg, cousin of the groom.

Ushers were the father of the groom, and John Anderson and Timmy Anderson, both of Strasburg and sons of the groom.

The flower girl was Kaitlyn Lucas. Ring bearer was Donny Shields.

A reception followed at Hotel Strasburg.

The bride, a graduate of Strasburg High School and Lord Fairfax Community College, earned a bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary liberal studies at James Madison University. She is employed by the St. Paul Lutheran Child Care in Strasburg.

The groom attended Strasburg High School and is employed by the Culpeper Farmers Cooperative in Marshall.

A honeymoon is planned later.

The couple are living in Strasburg.

Kerns-Gurewitz

Stacy Rae Kerns and Christopher Paul Gurewitz were married Aug. 29 in an outdoor ceremony at Marker Miller Orchards, west of Winchester.

The bride is the daughter of John and Donna Kerns of Stephens City. The groom is the son of Debra Dent of Winchester.

The Rev. Richard Ridgell performed the double-ring ceremony.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white strapless satin corset gown with apple red beaded lace, a lace-up back and chapel train. She wore a white veil with apple red satin trim and crystals and carried a daisy pomander ball.

The maid of honor was Brianna Tumblin of Stephens City. She wore an apple red spaghetti strap tea-length dress and carried a daisy bouquet.

Bridesmaids were Kimberly Hurst of Stephens City, Julia Kruk and Katelyn Hayden, both of Winchester, and Kelly Copley of Blacksburg. Their attire and flowers were identical to the honor attendant's.

The best men were Manuel Sanabria, Alex Hyre and Adam Hyre, all of Martinsburg, W.Va., and Brian Beck and Jonathan Marlowe, both of Winchester.

Flower girls were Alexis Braithwaite and Tianna Sanabria. Ring bearer was Isaiah Sanabria.

A reception followed.

The bride is a 1998 graduate of Sherando High School and a 2003 graduate of Shenandoah University.

The groom is a 1999 graduate of Handley High School.

Following a wedding trip to the Bahamas, the couple are living in Winchester.

Sherman-Malone

Frances Sherman and Delbert E. Malone were married Sept. 26 at the Neptune Festival at Virginia Beach.

The bride is the daughter of the late Wilbur and Doris Weaver. The groom is the son of Donnie and Mazie Malone of Strasburg.

Magistrate Al Sokolik performed the double-ring ceremony.

The bride wore a hunter green dress and carried a bouquet of yellow roses.

The bride, a 1976 graduate of Central High School, is employed by IAC in Strasburg.

The groom, a 1987 graduate of Strasburg High School, is also employed by IAC in Strasburg.

Following a honeymoon at Virginia Beach, the couple will live in Woodstock.
