Food drive
Hidden Springs Senior Living in Bentonville is collecting nonperishable food for Thanksgiving to be donated to the Congregational-Community Action Project.

Front Royal
Jason and Elizabeth Costello of Front Royal have announced the birth of a son, Jason Edward Jr., on Oct. 18 at Warren Memorial Hospital.
Grandparents are Gary and JoAnn Deavers of Luray, Ricky Costello Sr. of Front Royal and Barbara Miller of High View, W.Va.
School news
The following students at Skyline High School were inducted into the National Honor Society:

Garden club news
Sally Tubbs presented a workshop on making Christmas wreaths, wall hangings and centerpieces at the Nov. 4 meeting of the Front Royal Garden Club.
The club received a certificate of recognition from the town of Front Royal for its help with the hanging baskets on Main Street. Members will decorate Belle Boyd Cottage and the Christmas tree at Warren Memorial Hospital.
Lorraine Hultquist received two blue ribbons and Sandy Charles and Sue Mitchell one red each.
