4-H news
Brian Walsh and Chelsey Rickard were named outstanding 4-H members at the Shenandoah County 4-H Achievement Night program.
Steve Zirkle was named outstanding leader and Daniel, Stephanie, Jacklyn and Katlyn Ayers the outstanding 4-H family.
Also honored were:
Hallie Harriman, Charlotte H. Rinker Leadership Award; Cody Ross, Alan Boyer Memorial Award; and Brian Loveland and Abbey Schechtel, William Danforth "I Dare You" Awards; and Sallie Gochenour, Friend of 4-H Award.
Ross, Tayler Cooper, Emma Critz and Katelin Kline were tapped into the 4-H Honor Club. Ross, Willie Elgin and Aaron Heishman received 4-H Dairy Club scholarship awards.
Hallie Harriman, Kline, Schechtel and volunteer Steve Wood were named delegates to the State 4-H Congress.
Ashley Nolen and Chelsey Rickard were recognized as 4-H All Stars.
Clubs receiving plaques were: Lebanon Church, attendance, National 4-H Week, 4-H Bike-A-Thon and most miles ridden; St-Luke-Saumsville, participation, 4-H Bike-A-Thon and most money raised; Toms Brook, organizational, project books, 4-H Bike-A-Thon and best participation; and Cabin Hill, county contest.
