Weddings

Newman-Butler

Kelly Parasitia Newman and Bobby Lynn Butler were married May 22 at the First Church of the Nazarene in Front Royal.

The bride is the daughter of Barbara Capps and Dewey Seekford, both of Front Royal. The groom is the son of the late James and Audrey Butler.

The Rev. Sam Bakely performed the double-ring ceremony.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a halter-top gown with sequins and beads, a full skirt and long train. She wore a crown and veil and carried a bouquet of purple and white baby roses with baby's breath.

The matron of honor was Gail Smith of Front Royal, sister of the bride. She wore a tie-dyed dress. Her flowers were identical to the bride's.

The maid of honor was Kaylie Newman of Strasburg, daughter of the bride. Her attire was identical to the honor attendant's.

Bridesmaids were Jessica Gheen, Fancee's Olden and Lora Cook, all of Front Royal. Their attire was identical to the honor attendant's.

The best man was Neal Ware of Front Royal. Ushers were Jonathan Newman of Front Royal and Kenneth Newman Jr. of Strasburg, sons of the bride.

The flower girl was Katlyn Capps, niece of the bride. Ring bearer was Jason Capps Jr., nephew of the bride.

A reception followed at the Front Royal VFW.

Following a wedding trip, the couple are living in Strasburg.


Funkhouser- Boksan

Tiffany Funkhouser and Justin Boksan were married May 29 outdoors at the Columbia Furnace Church of the Brethren.

The bride is the daughter of Ricky and Beverly Funkhouser of Strasburg. The groom is the son of Kitty Boksan of Toms Brook and the late Frank Boksan.

The Rev. William Fitchett performed the double-ring ceremony. Musicians were Brenda Bladen and Westley Tobin.

Given in marriage by her father and entering on a black horse, the bride wore a white sweetheart gown with veil and carried a bouquet of blue hydrangeas, yellow roses and daisies.

The maid of honor was Bethany Funkhouser of Strasburg, sister of the bride. She wore a yellow dress and carried a bouquet of hydrangeas and daisies.

Bridesmaids were Lyndsey Funkhouser and Holly Funkhouser, sisters of the bride, Dana Rush and Jennifer Orndorff, all of Strasburg, Erin Kirkland of Winchester, sister of the groom, Hannah Happle of Towaco, N.J., and Elizabeth Sestito of Philadelphia. Their attire was identical to the honor attendant's.

The best man was Kenny Crawford of Claysville, Pa. Ushers were Shane Hammon, Daniel White and Shaun Gochenour, all of Edinburg, Keith Kirkland and Jerry Senseney, both of Winchester, and Andrew Mofitt of Linden.

The flower girl was Logyn Rush. Ring bearer was Jesse Funkhouser, brother of the bride.

A reception followed.

The bride attended Old Dominion University and is a graduate of the National Massage Therapy Institute.

Following a wedding trip, the couple are living in Toms Brook.
