The following students at Randolph-Macon Academy received scholarships during fall family weekend Dec. 4:

Flagg scholarship; Katelyn Shea, class of '58 scholarship; Joyslin Sullivan, Rick and Barbara Frisbie French Language and Silek Family scholarships; Carla Williams, Parents' Association scholarship; Karen Wines, Parents' Association scholarship; Johnny Wong, Rick and Barbara Frisbie French Language scholarship; and William Wong, Rick and Barbara Frisbie French Language scholarship.

Military news
Air Force Airman David M. Larsen graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
The son of Anne Skube of Front Royal and Duane Larsen of Culbertson, Mont., he is a 2010 graduate of Warren County High School.

Meghan Melburg of Linden has been named to the A honor roll at Randolph-Macon Academy for the first quarter.
