WINCHESTER -- Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival organizers have announced changes in the new 2012 Sprint Tent's location and event regulations at Winchester Medical Center, according to a press release from the festival office in Winchester.
The new tent will remove several dozen spaces from public use, so organizers warn that only standard sized cars, SUVs and pick-up trucks will be allowed to park on the asphalt parking lots on top of the hill between the Sprint Tent and the Shenandoah University Pharmacy School and along the one side of North Sector Court where parking is allowed, the release said.
Limousines, buses, shuttle buses, extended vans and other large vehicles may pull up near the Sprint Tent to unload but then must then take North Sector Court to park on the gravel parking lot at the foot of the hill near the intersection of North Sector Court and Campus Boulevard.
The timing of their return trips to the area of the Sprint Tent for pick-up should be negotiated with Sprint Tent Management at drop-off time.
A "No Re-Entry" policy will be in effect at Sprint Tent events this year. Tickets will be collected at the gate upon entry and will not be re-issued; nor, will re-entry wrist bands be issued. Emergency situations will be handled on a case-by-case basis by Sprint Tent Management and Sprint Tent Security.
The Sprint Tent also, for the first time, will include an ATM machine from BB&T Bank, the release said.
