New members
The Alpha Omicron Chapter of Virginia Alpha Delta Kappa recently initiated three new members and received one new member by transfer. The new members are Jennifer Walters and Tara Mason (teachers at Central High School) and Diane Driver (teacher at Ashby-Lee Elementary School). The transfer member is Kim Balderson (teacher at Ashby-Lee Elementary School) who transferred from Virginia Beta Lambda chapter. Alpha Delta Kappa is a sorority for outstanding women educators.

College news
Kylie Fadeley, daughter of Billy and Debbie Fadeley of Strasburg, graduated from Radford University on May 5 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration in Finance.
Mt. Jackson
Scholarships
The Mt. Jackson Moose Lodge 979 awarded five $1,000 scholarships to the following Stonewall Jackson High School seniors at an awards assembly on May 25: Allison Wilder, Gloria Juarez, Kari Spitler, Maria Flores-Beserra, and Amanda Bynaker. Two $1,000 scholarships were awarded in honor of brothers Michael Scruggs and Jeff Poole, who passed away earlier this year. The recipients were Brenna Wills and Josh Diehl respectively.
