Daily Staff Report
With a record year in sight, the Volunteer Farms of Shenandoah and Culpeper are looking for volunteers to harvest potatoes, tomatoes and other veggies.
More than nine tons of fresh produce have already been picked, but more harvesters are needed, according to a release from the Volunteer Farms.
"If you can volunteer, even an hour of your time, it is very much needed," the release states. "Bring the family, friends from work or your civic or church group out for a day at the farm. You will be helping so many people with your efforts."
Volunteers can sign up at www.volunteerfarm.org. The news release asks that they bring a liability waiver that can be downloaded at the site.
