Shenandoah County Fair ends summer festival season

Daily Staff Report
The Shenandoah County Fair runs through Sept. 1 at the Shenandoah County Fairgrounds at 300 Fairground Road in Woodstock.

General admission is $6 for adults 13 and older, $2 for children 6 to 12 and free for children 5 and younger. A courtesy pass for the entire fair is $40.

Family Fun Day
7 a.m. -- Registration for greased pig contest
8 a.m. -- Greased pig contest, Lilly Show Barn
8 a.m. -- Receive exhibits in Exhibit Building 1
8 a.m. -- Registration for games and contests, infield beside horse arena
9 a.m. -- Corn hole contest and seed spitting contest
9:30 a.m. -- Kiddie tractor race and barrel hoop race and rolling pin toss for women
10 a.m. -- BB&T and Sherwin-Williams Activity Tent opens
10:30 to noon -- Games, races for families
Noon -- All 4-H/FFA Livestock due on grounds
12:15 -- County tractor pull, Grandstand; free
12:30 p.m. -- 4-H/FFA Livestock Weigh-in (Hogs, steers and lambs)
12:30 -- 4-H/FFA livestock weigh-in
1 p.m. -- Midway opens; judging begins
1 p.m. -- Musical Freesytle Hores Expedition
6:30 p.m. -- Tractor pull

Sunday
9 a.m. -- 4-H and Open Horse Show
10 a.m. -- BB&T and Sherwin-Williams Activity Tent opens
1 p.m. 4-H/FFA Livestock Weigh-in Goats
6:30 p.m. 4-H/FFA open meeting, show arena followed by 4-H/FFA Livestock Grading Workshop then 4-H/FFA Sheep Showmanship Workshop
7:30 p.m. -- Justin Moore performs

Monday
8 a.m. 4-H/FFA Sheep Showmanship, Market and OpenShows
10 a.m. -- BB&T and Sherwin-Williams Activity Tent opens
1 p.m. Grading of market steers, lambs, goats and hogs
5 p.m. -- Midway opens, Zerbini Family Circus performs
6:30 p.m. -- 4-H/FFA geef showmanship workshop, show arena
7 p.m. -- Zerbini Family Circus performs
8 p.m. -- Demolition Derby
