Birth announcement
Major Roger and Ruth Maley Kemp, USAF, Retired, of Greenville, N.C., have announced the birth of their granddaughter, Chelsea Lynn Thorpe, born on Aug. 22 at 3:23 a.m. at Winchester Medical Center. She weighed 2 pounds. 6 ounces. and was 14 inches long.
Chelsea was born to Kathy Hamilton and Michael Thorpe, of Front Royal. Vicki Hamilton of St. Louis, Mo., is the maternal grandmother. The late Captain James W. Maley, FCPD and Lillian Maley of Centreville are great-grandparents.
Chelsea is very small and will remain in the NICU to continue to get strong and healthy.
