The highest level of recognition is AP Scholar with Distinction, which students earn by scoring an average grade of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken and grades of 3 or higher on five or more exams. Seniors Katie Brown, Marc Cugnon and Makenzie Magaro earned this honor as did 2012 graduate Will Mullany.
Seniors Mary Leskovec, Carl Liles and Alejandro Rodriguez were named AP Scholar with Honor, with an average grade of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken and grades of 3 or higher on four or more exams. Alumni Austen Cloud and Woody Hazel also earned this distinction.
Also, seniors Grace Albert, Alexandra Cancio-Bello, Brittany Kwolek, Sam Lilburn and Conor O'Heir plus alumni Greg Czekaj, Benjamin Hopkins, Michael O'Heir, Michael Pearson and Brian Shafran were named "AP Scholars" with three or more AP exams with grades of 3 or higher.
The College Board's Advanced Placement Program provides students with the opportunity to take college-level courses while still in high school and to earn college credit, advanced placement or both for successful performance on the AP Exams. Only about 18 percent of the nearly 1.8 million students worldwide who took AP Exams performed at a sufficiently high level to earn distinction as an AP Scholar.
