Teachers honored
On Sept. 16 Zion Christian Church in Maurertown, honored June Hockman, of Maurertown, and Dorothy Ritenour, of Woodstock, who recently retired from teaching children in the church's Sunday school program after over 50 years of dedicated service.

They were honored during the morning worship service with treasured words, pictures and gifts from the congregation. A reception followed the worship service allowing current and former students the opportunity to share memories and words of thanks. A plaque has been placed in the classroom where they taught and touched so many lives. The congregation of Zion Christian Church is grateful for the meaningful contributions of these two women to the children of their congregation.
