Clarke County Fair to kick off Sunday

By Josette Keelor

The Clarke County fair will take place Sunday through Aug. 18 at the Clarke County Ruritan Fairgrounds on Business 7 East in Berryville.

Next Saturday's Florida Georgia Line concert is already sold out, but there are still seats open to see Dean Crawford and the Dunn's River Band at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, or to attend other traditional fair events like Tuesday night's lawn mower pull, Friday's lawn mower race or that night's professional bull riding and rodeo show Buckin' Bulls.

General admission for the fair is $7 for adults, $2 for children age 5-15 and free for preschool children. Season tickets for six days are $18 for adults and $5 for children. Wednesday is senior citizen and children's day with admission free to seniors 62 and older and children 15 and younger. Thursday is veteran's day at the fair, with all active and military veterans admitted free. Gate passes are available at the Berryville News Stand, 7 W. Main St.
