The heat of summer was short lived this season. Now cooler days are making an early appearance, and it feels like summer is packing up for an early retreat into fall's eager embrace. But school hasn't started yet and, officially, summer doesn't end until Sept. 21.

This weekend food, music and laughter will light up the northern valley with fun for all ages. So get out there and enjoy the temperate days; there's still plenty of summer to go around.
